Default excessed to ANC

Can anyone help with schools/kid activities?
Where do most fdxers live? Any idea the cost to rent or buy a 3 or 4 bedroom?

Why do you have to live with the rest of the fdxers? Try the MLS for homes, it is not that hard to do research with the internet.

If one were planning to move to MEM, the MLS and the internet would offer a LOT of homes in places that no FDX pilot would care to live. Local knowledge goes a long way.

Don't come to Anchorage. It's terrible up here. Basic starter home is $450K, moose stomping your kids, bears molesting your wife. Don't get me started on the mosquitos and their malaria.... Drunken folk stumbling all over town, wild packs of dogs digging in your grass. And the trips, J.C. the trips. You are going to die of coronary heart failure from the catering, plus your body clock is perpetually screwed up. Trying to stay up during the winter, trying to sleep in the summer. F'ing terrible way to live mate.

11:10 and sun still up. Mosquitoes are the state bird. Protected and all, hope you didn't swat any!

Eagle River, and South Anchorage/Hill side are the two areas that I would recommend. If you are former military then Eagle River would make more sense, it is closer to the base to shop at the commissary.

Anchorage schools are very good.

I would not live in the Valley, too far, but less built up. As others would say "It's a personal choice".

PM me if you want a recommendation for a agent in Eagle River.

If you are junior enough to get excessed to Anchorage on this FIRST excess you might wait until the next one or two excesses are done. You might just want to down size into a senior F/O house in Memphis. Or you might be able to hold a junior Bus slot.
It aint over with this bid boyz! I hope to hang on the Bus if not the 11... Being a senior F/O was a great lifestyle.
