Let's hold the line this time ! I know someone with computer skill will hyperlink these later. This is from the ALPA Email I just received.

March 2008

The SIG/PSIT asked us to publish the March Disputed Pairings in advance of the March SIG Notes. Below are the Disputed Pairings for the month of March.

Your input is the most valuable tool we have to solving scheduling issues. Another option is to directly e-mail the SIG or PSIT. The appropriate e-mail addresses are located after the PSIT member’s name in the following sections of the PSIT notes. This provides quick access to any SIG/PSIT member. Thanks to those who have written and provided invaluable information on pairings and lines.

As always, it is critically important that these be flown by reserve assignment only. There are no good excuses for "picking one up" in any other pay category.

Sorry, had to finish my morning coffee first-- and there's a lot more work than last month.

The Disputed Pairs file for the Automatic DP feature in MagicWebFX is ready for download (free and paid versions) . Just check the "Update DPs before download" box.

Great job ! Looks like ANC could shut things down for reserves... can you say Draft (for NON Disputes, if they have to use reserve for all the disputes)

It's too bad the MEM Maddog guys will gobble up everyone of those disputed pairings. They are probably salivating as we speak. It's frustrating that this pilot group is soo greedy and short sighted. This is one of the reasons we'll never get a decent contract in my opinion.

The problem is there are a million guys on reserve in ANC so don't expect a whole lot of draft to come out of it. One thing that is going to happen is that there are so many four or five dept. lines in the March bidpack sick leave is going to skyrocket. This will create a lot of open time the day before a trip starts. Maybe some draft will occur because of this.

Or a lot of the secondary lines will be all reserve

Not a bad thing if you want to hang in ANC instead of flying this $&*(

They already are. Only the first 10-15 Secondary lines have had trips assigned to them for the past 4-5 mos. All the rest are pure reserve. With that being true they will have effectively double the reserve coverage and no problem handling all the DP's. As a side note: Secondary Line holders, scrutinize your lines carefully when awarded. Make sure you have not been assigned a DP. If you have you have 3 options according to the CBA. 1. Fly it at draft 2. Decline it for substitution 3. Drop it into M/U bank. If you elect sub, you probably won't fly given the dearth of non-DP trips available (so you get paid w/o flying).
