Dang!! When did you learn to read? I thought that all you knew how to do was drink beer and fart! ;)

and............your point is??

The second half of FY08 will be remembered for the relentless rise in oil prices coupled with weak economic conditions in the U.S. Record fuel prices are driving extremely high fuel surcharges. This, coupled with the economy, is having an impact on our package volumes and mix of services moving through our system. By the end of the fourth quarter, we were handling approximately the same domestic daily volume in the U.S. that we were in 1998.

we had around 3000 pilots handling that volume in 1998...

I think the key word in the above is DOMESTIC. Cf. to 1998, I believe the international side of the house has grown substantially.

He does however have a way of predicting the future. This time lets all hope he is wrong. I have two good friends that are in the bottom 100 their seats/jobs are not safe.

Alright BOYCAPTAIN, I'm on my 10th light switch, the guy at Home Depot is starting to look at me funny.

Any amplifying remarks to the above post?

Since I ........and many folks on this forum much smarter and better connected than me, cannot see any "good" reason for this series of excess bid trainwrecks, perhaps it is time to look elsewhere. Could this be a very basic (and effective) demonstration of union busting? The timing and effect are perfect.

...and pay no attention to the 777 rate negotiations that are ongoing....

Good reasons for the excess...

1. Fill HKG
2. Get rid of passover pay from direct right seat hiring.
