What if you bid to relieve excess in HKG?
Do you get move #1 and the enhanced loa option?

this is the problem - like you said - different interpretations/marching orders at the company vs. how the union guys read the CBA.

what you said at first didn't sound anything like the CBA as I had read it.

what you say here that Brandy told you doesn't sound anything like what I read in the CBA either.

for instance, the only time the CBA mentions "within 4 months of activation" is with reference to the Third Party Purchase Plan option where it states - "A pilot must request the third-party purchase plan within 4 months of his activation date."

all the other time limits are within 18 months of activation (in the CBA Section 6)

so......if Brandy is the company's final authority, then she has either been given direction by the company to deviate from the CBA - OR - she is just mistaken.

I'm hoping the union guys are looking into this to try to get a reading from the company on it BEFORE the bid closes.

We'll see.
Good luck on that. Don't expect any revelations from our union on this. They are too afraid of getting it wrong that is why they won't put anything in writing. Just like on all the other issues that mean anything. They will tell you something off the recordl, but don't hold your breath on them putting it in writing between now and the 25th. DW's got his pull up the rope.
