Also just talked to Brandy.I asked her if I was eligable for the move package.Here is my situation.I rent in Anc but primary residence is in the lower 48.She was very nice and could not give me an answer.She told me to talk to Steve Hanks at 901-224-5105 or email at [email protected].I would appreciate if someone follwed up on this also.I will try but have just been assigned(I AM ON RESERVE) a DP for the morning but I will also try to get in touch with him.We need this clarified before the closing of the Bid!

you're right - I wasn't intending to shoot the messenger - sorry about that.
this is the problem - like you said - different interpretations/marching orders at the company vs. how the union guys read the CBA.
what you said at first didn't sound anything like the CBA as I had read it.
what you say here that Brandy told you doesn't sound anything like what I read in the CBA either.
for instance, the only time the CBA mentions "within 4 months of activation" is with reference to the Third Party Purchase Plan option where it states - "A pilot must request the third-party purchase plan within 4 months of his activation date."
all the other time limits are within 18 months of activation (in the CBA Section 6)
so......if Brandy is the company's final authority, then she has either been given direction by the company to deviate from the CBA - OR - she is just mistaken.
I'm hoping the union guys are looking into this to try to get a reading from the company on it BEFORE the bid closes.
We'll see.
