How about cutting the new guy who is jumping in with both feet some slack. He's taking on a he!! of a job and until he demonstrates he deserves otherwise, give him a little support.

FE gets my support. If we are to be "one" though, we're not gonna' get there w/DW at the helm. Too many who are polarized against him.

I think DW's quote is more like Marie Antoinette's.

I just thought we were quoting presidents. But back to the earlier poker reference. Poker was appropriate for the old NC; as in poker you are out for yourself. I hope the new commitee is into team sports. One where we all know the play would be nice.

I feel a little more comfortable that FE is really close to my seniority and my age. Unlike our previous, near 60, Neg. Chair., I think he'll have a more junior perspective.
