They're gonna wait for that DHL deal to get signed before they do anything regarding hiring, but 90 wouldn't surprise me at all. The displacement is for an airplane thats' going away, so that doesn't really factor.

Well that rumor made it here from the B&G in slightly under a hour. Considering the number of eights they are talking about putting back into service, that number doesnt seem too far fetched. But it basically means more front seats for the elderly gentlemen, and FE positions for new hires. It would be going in the right direction at least. Dont think it will happen this year, but next year sounds reasonable.

Hiring line 800-241-2357 says no hiring, hasn't changed in awhile. Powder dry, listen to the hotline.

"Welcome to the UPS pilot hiring hotline, please note that our application window is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice.
Anyone previously placed in the hiring pool does not need to reapply
at this time. Those files will be reviewed at a later date once hiring does resume. Future announcements will be made using this hotline number, and once the window is open again, open positions will be posted on our employment website www.UPSjobs.com. Thankyou for your interest and a career with UPS"

Usually they list jobs as "Flight Officer" None there either, Pilot HR office in Training Center closed as of today.

I think this is a rumor, hence no official statement by the company. I would expect though, that there will be no hiring until the DHL deal goes through.
