FDX-MEC Officer Compensation
#11
During slow downs, everyone should take a pay cut if anyone takes a pay cut. Pilots, managers, MEC folks, box throwers, fuel truck drivers, etc. For what it's worth, I would not have the MEC's job for 98 CH plus overrides. Management and MEC jobs have too many headaches that I don't have the stomach to handle. "Pass the Pepto please!"

Heard that he get 2 RT tickets home each month, and 1800 housing allowance in MEM a month. How about that slap in the face to the HKG guys. Where does MEM sit the most expensive cities to live list?

As union members, we do have a say in what our MEC gets paid. As employees, it is of no concern what our managers make (unless you are speaking as a stock holder/or board member).

Apples and oranges. It is none of our business how much the company wants to pay our managers unless we want to grieve it and fight it legally. However, how much our union leadership gets paid is our business. If these jokers are getting 98 hrs while we are getting 68 hrs something needs to be done. Write your LEC's and demand a reduction to what they are receiveing. They write LOA's for everything else, let's see if they will write one for a paycut down to what us poor dues paying slobs make.
