Who owns more of their aircraft, FedEx or UPS? Doing some research into their business models.

Thank you.

Can't speak for FedEx, but I've always been told Brown buys most of their equipment outright. Though sometimes through a third party that UPS owns (ie Wells Fargo).

Default Cash for Equipment!

Ups normally pays cash for most of it's purchases. The last two major acquisitions Menlo and another freight forwarder, UPS acquired the companies with cash. UPS is only one of 5 companies in the US with a AAA credit rating.

UPS owns and pays cash for all of it's aircraft. The few that are technically leased, UPS owns the leasing company!

Can't you download the 8K and annual reports? Seems like those resources would be helpful.

I'm sorry HSLD but you are required to provide a more sarcastic reply to a question like that. Everyone knows that the internet isn't capable of providing answers to research questions. All it is good for is porn, news and pilot forums.

As an example, this gem was posted on this forum and is still one of my favorites:

Also, are there pay scales for now available for the planes and seats?
Imagine being too lazy to check the website that you are posting to.

I would have more to say but I am fatigued from typing this many words at one sitting.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

HSLD, thanks for the lead, but I get good enough answers usually here on your boards.
