FDX- stop sending frivolous Crew Notifications
I am on reserve and its freaking me out.:p
|
Quit checking vips.

I don't know, I kind of liked this one:
"You have been removed from trip xxx beginning xxOCT08 due to equipment change. Notification posted 02OCT08 2353z. You received it 03OCT08 0021z." They do seem to be pumping them up though. FJ |
My personal favorite:
You will be unqualified as of 20OCT08 due to the expiration of your Recency of Experience, in other words, you will lack 3 landings in the last 90 days. You are required to make reasonable efforts to maintain qualification. If you are a reserve, consider using First Fly as part of your plan to maintain qualification. If you lose qualification due to lack of landings, all trips and/or R-Days which are scheduled to show within 48 hours of the above date will be dropped without pay. That time will be eligible for make-up; however, you will only be compensated for days spent requalifying if you made reasonable efforts to maintain qualification. |

ALWAYS check the CALENDAR first!
but if you think about it, notification after notification, you start to get the same feeling you get when you read DFW notams day after day... all 600 of them. Remember when notifications were something you paid attention to? anyone can get access to notifications.. your receipts are due... you have credit card charge.. your uniform allowance is expiring, you need to buy a hat... at what point do they start using them for important things again? |
I think we need break out the difference between "scheduling notification" and "admin notifications"
|
You can check your calendar first, but consider yourself "notified" if there is a trip there. They can tell that you logged on and looked up your calendar, even though you didn't click on "crew notifications."

Has anyone ever been told they were considered notified because they viewed their calendar or is this just another urban myth? |
