She's probably right but how does someone store up so much negative energy?

Parking all of the Dc-8s by April??!! Posting that is akin to screaming "fire" in a crowded movie theater these days with Biggs on here. I'm calling you out and publicly stating that you made it up. Who was the Department head who said it? And if it really was a dept head than why are you the only one he/she told this to?

DC-8s will be here for awhile. How else can we absorb surges?

I've heard of a Bid/Displacement in Feb. or March. All planned around the training center. The training center will be wide open around April on.

I predict 747 vacancies and DC8 Displacements. Probably park 10 or so DC8's next year since we lost the big DHL volume.

Wish I were making it up. He said there were two scenarios at this point. One involved parking 14 Diesels and 15 757's, not making this up. The latest had just 29 diesels parked. Captain and I heard it with our own ears, he was on the jumpseat with us, you woulda heard it too had you been there Lil J. I don't spread rumors that cause widespread heartburn for kicks, this guy had legit credibility...

That's a far cry from an announcement that we are parking all of the -8s. So what if they are exploring multiple scenarios? That doesn't mean jack. I remember the airline strategic planners decided that the 777 would be the best fit and most cost effective plane for us. We ended up ordering and getting the -400s. Your source is no more involved in making the decision to ground planes than either of us. And he is no more in the know of what will really happen either.

Saying you made the whole thing up was wrong on my part. But I still believe that your source does not have the full picture.

Hey Rocket,

I just had one of our ACPs on the jumpseat. He said UPS is trying to collect all available info and will possibly be making some decision in the spring about staffing. Nothing yet has been decided according to him.
