Latest FCIF adds additional limitations to all trip trading activities on VIPS. Someone cr@pped their pants now we all have to wear diapers!

What exactly is affected in the BidX program? I just logged on and was able to navigate open time just fine and refresh it as well? I went to the trip trade area and attempted a fictious trade but never had to put in the "random code" Where is the change actually at?

Thumbs down

Look again, they are there now. They have just made their piece of junk user interface the only way to trip trade.

Try again!

I just attempted adding a M/U trip using BidX. I got this "VIPS Response"

Code:
Trip Specific Make-up Request
nnnnnnnnnnnnn (######)

    Trip
    Date(z)

    Trip
    Date(z)

    Trip
    Date(z)

      1.

      2.

      3.

      4.

      5.

      6.

Make-up Category (choose one):
 Priority make-up (PMU)
General make-up (drop, emergency, CIC, etc.)
 Compensatory make-up (CMU)
 Make-up sick
 Make-up disability
 Make-up vacation
 Association Fly Back make-up (AFB)

And received this BidX message for "pending trades"

Default It's a fair fight now

I'll jump in at the risk of taking a shot or two--- at least this levels the playing field. It gives everyone an equal shot at getting trips in open time and not just the botters. I use Bid X and it will suck not being able to use the trip trade function, but it was just getting too hard to get open time without the latest and greatest software. It was like going to the merge guns only and the other dude having slammers and heaters. I always prefer a gun fight myself.

Unfortunately we all have to take several steps back because they couldn't come up with a way to address just the problem.

Default BidX will come to the rescue..

I think Paul will be able to program BidX so that the code shows up in the BidX trade window and we'll just have to manually type it in there. Don't give up yet!!!!

Tell me... how is it level for guys who are flying during the open time frenzy, or during the 7:00am sick call OT dump? I'm not a open time user, but this severely tilts the playing field away from those who are actually moving freight. Those are the ones who are guns only.

...2's ready...

There will never be a solution that makes everyone happy or meets every pilots needs--But I think this is fair. If someone's schedule requires they jump into Thursday madness every month or pick up a make up trip at 0700, then it might be time to educate the wife (or husband) on how to use Vips if it's that important.

Are the only guys "moving freight" flying on Thursdays and every morning at 0700?
