What's the problem? Guys at FedEx have been flying in stuff that would make a clown blush. Someone here flies in scrubs, another flies in shorts and T shirt, another in sweats, while wearing bunny slippers, complete with floppy ears and a bright pink nose. However, the boxes never seem to mind, and the freight gets there on time.

My first flight at the G-spot (my first freighter flight ever) was on the DC-10, Oakland to Anchorage, in 1999.

The professional flight engineer was an attractive blonde woman in her thirties who was a KC10 veteran.

As soon as we got the doors closed she changed into a T shirt. It said, "I can't even THINK straight."

That was my introduction to the cargo business.

(She later introduced me to the F street, Ei tai won in Seoul and how to drink OB Lager. Great girl. I hope somebody switched her back over.)

I have a hard time believing that anyone but a manager would care about what we wear in the cockpit.

Long long ago in a galaxy far far away I rode an SAS whale over to Denmark. Enroute I talked my way into the cockpit (I said it was long ago ). The entire flight deck crew had taken their uniform shirts off and hung them up so they wouldn't get wrinkled. If they left the cockpit they put the shirt back on. NBD.

It doesn't matter if there's passengers or not - as long as you don't get caught:
