Is there a recognized seniority list to bid for vacancies between bases and equipment? Or seat locks? Just wondering how all that works?

From what I know you live in Pontiac, Michigan and have a 20-30 minute callout. Apart from which seat you're in seniority isn't of much importance as far as I can tell, as it shouldn't be in a small cargo operation.

I've spoken to them in the past and for me the biggest downside, however, is they don't offer rotational type scheduling.

They have been hiring for the 580 recently. Bases all over- PTK, MIA, BRO, ELP, PHX, SJU, BQN. Hired for BRO PTK SJU and MIA. They don't have seat lock but if you are hired for the CV580 or Falcon then that's what you stay in typically. As far as the MFE base, that's Falcon and I don't know too much about that side.

The 580 and 72's are 121 and in CASS. They do not have many recip agreements though. Lack of route structure I believe is the problem.

They require for the 580 and 727 the mins for 121 - 1500TT and must have a multi engine ATP in hand.

I think my info pertains mainly to the 727 flying then.

It is in Waterford, Michigan, Pontiac, Michigan is a ghetto, however, both the company(on the field) and the airport, are in Waterford, it is a nice area to live and there are neighborhoods that are right next to the airport. As far as the call out goes, 20-30 minutes is an easy time to make, I can say though expect long nights, they don't usually do overnight stays and you could go PTK-BRO-MIO-STL-PTK all within 18 hours, most of their 72's are based out of PTK, which is their main hub, if you are on the Convair's or 72's you will start out as an FE and work up from there, part of the reason I didn't apply despite it being minutes from my home is many guys I know who fly for them say they wish they had stayed "real pilots"..

About two months ago they hired direct CAs and FOs on the 727. I was tempted but ended up passing, mainly due to scheduling. I get cranky if I don't get blocks of 10-20 days off.

I'm an IFL alumni , '92-'99, back when it was a DC3 and piston Convair outfit, it was always a good place, with its boys and girls now scattered among the ranks of Delta, American, FedEx and SWA , it's funny how when we get together it's stories about Spiller, Zerbe, and the rest of our beloved motley tribe that we all want to share. I'm proud of this company and the fact that it still thrives.

Sounds like they may have totaled or come close to a 727. It's in heavy Mx in Hamilton right now to see if it's salvageable. Tried to leave with the air stairs still in place. Tore up the left fuselage and wing pretty bad.
