This purple guy is curious, has your company instituted any salary, minimum guarantee, or other paycuts for you guys??

Just wonder if our Brown-Brothers are now the highest paid pilots in the world.

Convair...

Not sure about the world, but in terms of minimum guarantee, we've been the highest paid US airline since our last contract. There is no contractual provision to reduce guarantee; our furlough protection is an immediate opentime and ja ban sanctioned by the contract.

We'll see how long the economy stays in the crapper...quicker the recovery, the less chance anyone will lose their jobs here.

By going on "base" pay rates and just the dollar amount, as well as the CA's seat at the highest longevity, is UPS the highest paid in the world?

Take a look at the some of the European Legacies, particularly LH, AF, KLM, and Aer Lingus.

So AF 777 top pay (25 years) 15,000E x 12 = 233?

UPS top pay (gurantee 15 years) = 231.

Not too shabby...before taxes (40% income tax alone).

About that...used the attached link to currency conversion at today's quoted rate. But at least we'll get to pay Obama's tax rate soon so we can be even more European, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.

How about KLM's top guys @ 230,000 euros........ thats $298,353.28 USD
Plus they have high per diem (over 100 euro a day), plus all the vacation,
and the travel bennies.
Its not THAT expensive to live in the Netherlands!

Not complaining about my lot in life but those guys are compensated pretty well.
