Through 12/31/03. So I guess one could quibble on when you apply the CPI (2004 through last 5 years) I used ftp://ftp.bls.gov/pub/special.requests/cpi/cpiai.txt
and get a CPI adjusted $190 would be worth $222 in Jan 2009 (adjusted from 2004 through Dec 2008)
Afterall, the $127 under the old 1998 CBA would only adjust to $148.52, so the CBA made at $164 made it $16/hr better.

I'm still going to do OK with the pay rates. It still went up in a post 9/11 word. I didn't change my lifestyle, kids college fund takes a hit though <g>

All I know is that I can't wait to run into a captain that was telling me that FOs shouldn't have to worry about FO pay because "you'll be a captain longer." I was on the guy's j/s so I didn't want to be rude but I said that there is no guarantee of that, I could be an FO for 15-20 years. Guess he was WRONG!!!!

I keep saying this, but it doesn't seem to catch on...

The "slope" issue was applicable to one's longevity, regardless of whether one was an FO or a CPT.

PS- if I'm ever the IRO for one of your ONT flights, I'll bake the cookies, but won't be changing any diapers

What happens if a displacee doesn't submit a valid bid (ie DC-8 Capt bidding 211 811)? Where would he/she go? As of 0945 this is the case...

Remedial training ...

Maybe p. 323 (H. 1.) Crewmembers who have no systemwide preference on file ...

... might apply.

If NO bid on file = invalid bid on file.

Pure speculation on my part.
