FDX-Air Prostitute Award-Nominations ?
In suggesting this award I believe it is important to recognize the individual efforts of some of our fellow crew members. In the true spirit of unshared sacrifice, the award should go to someone who has shown consistent devotion to the disregard of family while maintaining an astronomical BLG over a sustained period. In recognizing that seniority offers an advantage, style points should be given to someone junior in their seat who has undergone horrific schedules to attain the award. If a guy was able to fit a DP in is already busy schedule, major bonus points. We will have a Captain and First Officer category.
Not Eligible:
Non Members. They are in a class all by themselves
Calender Blockers. These guys need and value privacy and we should respect whatever it is they are trying to hide.
(Sarcasm off for one sentence: Anyone in the bottom 687 who may need some extra hours now just in case)
My nomination in the F/O category is
Trip 434 MEM/11 01FEB09, While not a dominating performance in FEB 09, (it's not over yet) his body of work in 2008 makes him a strong contender.

I know of an A300 F/O who brags of $325K years via SIBA C/O and vacation buyback, but he is a calendar blocker, so it is hard to show his body of work, so to speak.

That was an impressive year for 434, He is a local though so the reserve does keep him in theory close to family, Post related to Pilotswap and open time highlights the dedication of a commuter to the Purple Promise.

I don't know this guy from Adam, but lets play devil's advocate here.
Say mister 434's wife had cancer before he got hired here at FedEx and went into remission. She didn't qualify for some preexisting conditions with new company's health insurance now.
She then gets cancer again and he is working his butt off to pay for medical bills to help keep his wife alive while her family takes care of her.
Again I don't know this guy or his situation, but be careful of throwing daggers and tossing names around at your co-workers...
