At least UPS pulled out, so to speak ... ;)

All joking aside, it is tragic what is going on at ABX-Astar-DHL. True example of the carnage these holding companies can bestow upon their "independent" holdings. Perfectly legal too ...

Fight it to the end, and good luck with your efforts.

Sincerely,

Brown CC

Red,
Get the facts and them post.
Amerijet voted for union representation with the Teamsters, but that does not mean they have a Union (thanks to management tactics). So far the talks to get a contract had been going on for at least 4 years, maybe more and not by the pilot's choice, as I said before is just a small group with little power, the pilots are replaceable at AJ, if you know what I mean.
And my guess is that whatever the Amerijet pilots said when they went to talk to the ABX guys is been -by now- taken out of context and is not even close to what ever happen that day, again you know how we are (Pilots!). Unless you where present that day.
All I want to say is don't start a war with another pilot group for something they don't have control.
And I wish the best to you and everyone at ABX , Astar and DHL.

Wow, an expert in the ranks. Hey triflyier, can you tell me how a little group of 650 pilots in a corn field in Ohio managed to have one of the best contracts in the industry? It's called fighting for what you want and never settling for less! Power is not determined by size. It comes from unfaultering determination and will. Oh and by the way, factually speaking, I was witness to the Amerijet degrading comments.

as long as you are willing to burn the house down, having lived through several fires, it is not all what it cracks up to be, you may not be the one who get anything, but you did have unfaultering determination, determined to do what?

Hey red,
where were you when your Kitty Hawk ALPA brothers needed support??
Enjoy the ride my BROTHA.

Red Baron 02-20-2009 11:23 PM

Brown,

We're Teamster's at ABX. Astar is the ALPA group. B*tch at them! There is no brotherly love between the Teamsters and ALPA.

Hey R/B... would it not be wiser for you and your fellow members to take your concerns to your Teamsters representatives, and let them deal with the situation accordingly??? I mean that's why membership dues are paid for:confused:?

We are hiring some great guys from ABEX here at ANA.. I hope it continues, and wish we were hiring in greater numbers.. I guess every person helps!!

Sad to hear that this type of banter exists amoung pilots.. I guess that's just another reason you don't see any Amerijet pilots working here!! :)

I agree, it's really sad to see what's happening to our ABX and Astar brothers and sisters... Management must love all the fighting amongst the pilots. :(

Ain't any AJ pilots current qualfied with appreciable time on the 767... yet. And I don't think HAC or ANA will give a rat's A$$ when it comes to filling seats in the future... as they are a-political when it comes to company culture.
