There is never a good time or place for news like this

All thought and prayers are with everyone over at the Purple Tail. Hang tight and keep the chin-up....I'm sure that's how they would want you all to be.

All the best to everyone at FedEx....fly safe.

THE NTSB only permits the release of information that was known PRIOR to the accident (i.e. Flight Number, Crew Names, Aircraft Type, etc)

Union just released a Special Message Line email - no names.

Pray for the families and fellow FedEx pilots. RIP

Eagle,
Contacting the families takes time. Not appropriate to put out anything till families notified. Confirmations completed, etc. Not perfect and in a 24/7 world, the chance of a shock goes up. Unfortunately, people will call and become the unintentional bearer of bad news.
Godspeed to my FedEx friends...

Another one of our pilots (a friend of mine) was killed in a car crash and they did the same crap to him. There has got to be a more respectful way to do it. Regardless of the cause, a big red line with "NOQ" through their calenders?

Default Terrible

I am speechless. Just an absolutely terrible day for all of us at purple. Thoughts and prayers to the families.

Link below shows the entire landing.
