Default FedEx and the...A330F??

Intrepid Aviation - Ron Anderson

Read this bio page and tell me if the connections don't seem a bit fishy...

And Intrepid Aviation is a Germantown-based leasing company that has ordered 20 copies of the A330F for an "undisclosed customer"...hmm

If we are considering canceling the 777 order (nice bluff) doesn't look like we need the 380F. I am sure Airbus would love to work out a deal with the A300F instead...

Seems I remember R.A. is pretty tight with T.A.M. who is currently president and chairman of Airbus N.A. Also, I believe he previously served on the board of at least one of T.A.M. companies. Since they were both high ranking FedEx officers at one time and both good friends with F.S. it wouldn't be too far fetched of an idea that they would be coming to FedEx. However, R.A. is in the business of making money and no longer works for FedEx. Remember, he helped build the fleet for Emory which was a FedEx competitor. For all we know it could be UPS, DHL, TNT, or Lufthansa Cargo. But then again someone may have decided its time for FedEx to move from the MD11 in the interest of safety. Rest assured Lloyds of London and AON would support that plan. BTW, I don't hold the opinion that the MD11 is unsafe. I think its a great airplane but then again the past record of the MD11 doesn't seem to support my opinion.

A330F is not a competitor for a 777 replacement, 777 carries 40% more by weight and goes 700nm farther.

Yup it's more of a 767-300F/A300-600F/DC-10/MD-10 replacement. Similar in concept to the 777F, it's basically an A330-300 wing/engines on the shorter A330-200 fuselage.

Its a dude who got spacial D'd and ejected off the NC coast one night if I remember correctly. He survived but his WSO wasn't so lucky. Going out at somewhere around 600 KIAS, both suffered horrible flail injuries.

Why that for an avatar? Hmm...you'll have to ask TimC...
