FDX - ANC MD11 Sim
Anybody know if the simulator is running this week in ANC? I would hate to d/h all the way up there to find out the sim is shutdown for the week due to Redoubt!

I did call and the answer was - As far as I know things are going as scheduled.
I just didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling about his answer and would hate to waste $500 of my own money to find out he never really checked.

This is merely something I heard but I'll repeat it here. I was told that the sim in ANC won't be operating due to the ash getting into the sim's computers (somehow). My guess is due to cooling but who knows? I hope it's not true.

). If Redoubt blows again they have enough time to secure everything to prevent damage before ash would actually get there.
