RUN.....................FAST...................... .............AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!!!!!!!
They are part of the IFL Group in PTK. They don't provide any insurance, sick/va-ca time----NOTHING, they operate under supplemental rules-so that means you are on call 24hrs a day-6 days a week. And you have to live in the middle of nowhere. They seem to only fly once or twice a week.
That is the last stop before hell (In our case, it's the last stop before going to work for MESA
)

Thanks for the info. I was in the area during the 4th of July weekend and thought I'd checked it out for my self---Man, what a miserable place!! I talked to some of there pilots and none of them had any thing pleasent to say about the Southwind or IFL. Glad I turned down the job.

Say what you want about Southwind or whatever the Texas red-headed stepchild of IFL is...but IFL Pontiac is as good a freight company as any...They do offer insurance, vacation, sick pay, border crossing pay, loose load pay, and the total FO pay in Pontiac is better than many regional airlines.

SkyTrucker----The original post was about SOUTHWIND not IFL.
Southwind claims they have always provided insurance, which is a lie.
They have only started providing insurance as of last month.
Apparently there was a meeting with RAH and RAS, some of the pilots had enough of the lies and of the promises that they make to all the new hires and never live up to. As a result of that meeting, Southwind was forced to provide insurance or loose some of there pilots.
