Default Mid Trip Deviating from CAN to KIX??

Having trouble with company emails getting returned as undeliverable so thought I would throw this out here since I need a quick response.

Has anyone operated into CAN and then jumpseated out in lieu of deadhead? Any gotcha's that I need to know about. Do you know if CAN Ops will set up GT from the Holiday Inn back to the ramp? It's an RFO trip and I have a pickup scheduled for later in the day. I would like to move it to earlier. Has anyone had success with changing the GT or am I on my own? Also what is cost if I'm on my own nickel to get from Holiday Inn to ramp?

Also my emails to [email protected] and [email protected] are being returned as undeliverable. I have used these email addresses before with no trouble. Not sure if it's our new email system or what. Anyone have a valid email address for KIX Ops?

machz990, both of those e-mail addresses are correct. Try again. If it still comes back you might try calling them.
I just jumpseated from CAN to NRT from the airport hotel and the ramp set that up. I'm not sure if they will do the same from the Holiday Inn, but you might try calling one of the CAN FOA's (the numbers are on the pilot.fedex page under general info, ramp contacts). The FOA's at CAN should be very helpful.
Make sure to contact the operating captain and get permission for the ride and you might also ask him if you can ride in the van to the hotel. If there's not enough room, it's pretty easy to get from the airport to the hotel via train and subway, assuming you're not coming in too late. There's people who speak english at the help desk in the terminal that can point the way.
Also, a cab will run about $150 at the current exchange rate.

I have done it a couple of times. Both times I just rode in with the crew from the Holiday Inn. Contact them via e-mail and then when you arrive. Make sure they arrange a van for the crew pick-up. Both times worked for me without a hitch.
