Atlas just got the base bid that filled in for the Sonair contract. Ten more pilot recalls, leaving 29 still on the street. No flight engineer recalls, but lots of good rumors.

Try reading all the posts, not just looking at the pretty pictures.

Shoot..I'll take good news in whatever thread it appears! There's precious little of it around lately.

when my hands are on the shiny semi new 400's here at EZ then I will believe
Smitty parted with the cash for them. but rumors are all we have at this point. what is not a rumor is that we are hiring. and its a long time till next December and the yearly furlough. so we got that going for us, which is nice!

Scooterbob85 04-22-2010 02:11 PM

Minimums?

What are the competitive requirements for even applying? Type required? Time in type? Hours? Turbine PIC or turbojet PIC required?

Green Giant 04-23-2010 12:30 PM

I hear rumors that we will start hiring. If you want the job apply, you just never know. Having PIC Turbine or even some Boeing experience would help.

Having a pilot walk your stuff in is a bonus, if you have friends working over here.

I got called for an Interview with Evergreen and am trying to dig up some information. I know there is no real average schedule flying ACMI, does anyone know what a first year F/O might make on average. I have seen the $53 x 65hrs, is that realistic base pay or can that be supplemented?

avpro91 09-07-2010 05:53 PM

Thats is realistic base pay. Unless you whor$ yourself out to the company you will seldom fly more than 65 hrs. We sit in hotels a lot. You'll sit for 7 days and then be extended 2 days for a 5 hour trip. So you might make an extra 10 hours....and yes that is paid as straight time..no overtime here folks!

You can however plan on about $600 in per diem each month you work.

If you want to work 25 or 30 days a month then you'll make plenty of money, but its all straight time over 65 or 16 days and 4hrs a day min after 16 days. Do the math after taxes, insurance, union dues, you're whorrin& yourself out to a company that treats you like sh!t for less than $180 a day. You can make that flight instructing these days!
