Another one I trained with was out of flying for over 2 years. She was a sales clerk at a Jeans store. So give me a break. Two totally different standards. We all know it.

Hmmm, ok then, let's talk about the WHITE MALE in my class with 2500TT civilian. I am curious if he had the 1000 PIC turbine mins. He had his resume in for a week and they called because he had a management rec. C'mon, let's ***** about how unfair that is. I had my stuff in over 5 years before they called me and double his TT and I'm a chick! Explain that one to me please Nash. I would say that saying UPS has zero standards for a minority is undermining everything I did to get here. Thanks! You made my day.

I know for a fact that a girl from Commutair was hired there with Beech 1900 time as the biggest thing she had ever flown.

Nash, I'm not sure what the mins were when this Z Capt. got hired, but here are the mins. since 11/04

Minimum Requirements:

* Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
* Hold a current ATP certificate OR hold an ATP written with a commercial pilot airplane multiengine land certificate with instrument certificate
* Hold a current flight engineer written or current flight engineer certificate
* Have a minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time
* Have a minimum of 1000 hours pilot in command (PIC) hours in fixed-
wing jet and/or fixed-wing multi-engine turboprop

Pilot in Command, per FAR 1.1, means the person who:
1. Has final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight;
2. Has been designated as the pilot in command before or during the flight;
3. Holds the appropriate category, class, and type rating, if appropriate, for the conduct of the flight

* Hold an FCC restricted radiotelephone operator permit
* Hold a valid passport
* Four year degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
* Have authorization to work in the United States
* Be at least twenty-one years of age

UPS is not hiring people with zero PIC time anymore. What do you think the mins should be? 4000 PIC in a heavy? I believe if you meet the mins, you're qualified. Be it 1000.1 or 10,000. My class had a wide range of backgrounds, Saab Capt., RJ Capt's, Fighters, Tankers, and heavy freight. Some classes have corporate as well.

I know a guy here in the same boat.....ME! There was also a white male in my class with 1400 hours and while he was in the service, he flew metroliners there. Who did he know? An EB member.It swings both ways.

I saw here plastered all over the news. She was the first female B52 pilot and was based in Minot AFB. She was dishonorably discharged and got on with ASA then was hired at UPS.

Newbies come with no skeletons in the closet and the company is still trying to keep them happy. They realize that they have failed with so many of us, so why waste the capital?

Just a theory though

My recs are both from guys that have less than 2 yrs.

I'll happily take the ***** pay tomorrow, if they want to call me today!!

They'd better hurry, my face is turning blue from holdling my breath!!

As yet, no love...

I've heard that if you have worked there(even pt) and quit, that they will not hire you back. Anybody verify this?

No true...

I threw boxes when I was 23 and quit after just a few weeks because a flying opportunity presented itself.

We discussed this at the interview and it was not held against me in any way.
