The last postal contract prior to Fedex taking over, was split primarily between Emory and Express One International using the Eagle Hub on the north side of IND. As Emory used all DC8s, all their 727 flying, including their portion of the postal flying, was done by Ryan under subcontract (Ryan callsign.) Express One operated their own 727s (Callsign of Longhorn.) During Christmas time, some Emory operated DC8s, along with other carriers, were added for extra lift. Both Emory and Express One went out of business shortly after Fedex took over the Postal contract.
