Default Service failures

Just got off the phone with customer service about an overnight package that didn't arrive today. I asked if we've had a lot of service failures today.

He said "oh, yes sir! sorry, but with the heavy volumes and weather we've had a lot today" Just one agent's take, but I know I didn't get an overnight package today.... maybe the company just 4a2b'd itself into a reputation for time-indefinite service Unfortunately, I'd wager the savings they've made off us will more than cover the monetary loss...

Just sad...

Yesterday's PM sort went off like 1+30 late. Clear and a million in Mempho. Pretty soon, we'll have reliability like Brown's (not good).

Too bad we don't have the manning to cover our schedule.

Corporate will spin the service failures in the media and blame it on the weather. That will be all that is heard of it unless someone in the media figures out the real issue. Problem is, reporters are too lazy to actually research anymore. They simply "plagiarize" the press releases and go back to playing Minesweeper.

Instead of a $70.00 Christmas dinner for doing such a great job, can I just get back my 25% pay cut I have taken for over a year? I usually lose the receipt and get charged by crew pay audit anyway.

There is too much stuff flowing into too small of a space in Memphis with too little work ethic to match.

When I'm king of the world of purple (and this will be soon), we will be hiring like crazy and buying more airplanes and then will be shifting MORE THAN HALF our operation out of Mempho and up to Indy, where it doesn't matter what the weather is and people seem ready to work.

There. Some Christmas cheer that even the hardest of hearts can be happy with!

Merry Christmas my purple bros!

Ironic, in that it seems the more mangt tries to contol everything out of memphis the less control they have........ just saying.
