767,

Before DHL restructured itself in 2003, DHL stateside was DHLAirways. Astar at that point was DHLAirways, which was a "franchise" of DHL Worldwide. After the restructure, J. Dasburg, formerly of NWA, bought DHLAirways and renamed it Astar Air Cargo, Inc. (He only took over the airline operations. All things ground reverted to DHL Worldwide.) Shortly after that, DHLAirways was absorbed into the global DHL Express machine. Astar's relationship with DHL now is that of an ACMI carrier. I hope this clears things up.

John Dasburg is the majority owner of Astar. He and some other investors own it. It is private so no public financial data available.

I KNOW this because I'm a major airline pilot, not a commuter puke like YOU are. Major pilots know these things. Commuter pukes speculate and dream of someday being ME!

Fisrt of all brownstain, I wasn't talking to you; secondly, I thought UPS was a package delivery system, NOT an airline; LASTLY, they are not called "commuters" anymore.

Is that really neccesary? You can be a dick if you want, but it really does reflect poorly on the rest of us. Just who the F do you think dreams of being you? They may want your job and your position, but I am certain that they don't want to be you. Your act has worn thing dude.

There is a seperate UPS Airline division. They didn't used to call us an airline. The government felt differently, which is why we are under the Railway Labor Act for our negotiations
