Default FDX Catering

Am I imagining things or did I just recently read somewhere that flights can be catered at the Captain's request regardless of duty time parameters? I thought it was in an FCIF, but now I can't find it anywhere.

I knew I had read it somewhere! Apparently OR forgot to tell the catering folks and the DO's this because I got the standard runaround today when I asked for catering even though my flight is 14 min short of the parameter. DO said he would let me know. Still waiting to hear.

This was yrs ago, but I remember on the Winnipeg-Grand Forks-Mem run the block time was like 5mins under the catering parameters, but where told (by the station manager) that if the capt. requested catering, the crew would get it. Which we did...? Also happened to us once in Subic, and we got the catering then..?? Go figure?
