Default FDX - EZ Perdiem for FDX crews

Anyone use EZ Perdiem for domestic reserve type activity at FDX? Is it worth it? I normally don't bother with it.....but have flown more this year.

LJ,

I don't think you can use it for your once-a-quarter sim sessions, unless of course you do them away from Mecca.

I use prodiem.com and have been pleased with their service.

Last year, the domestic rates were raised quite a bit. Many large cities are over $60/day ($64 I think) and even a regular domestic flyer can find it's worth it (assuming they don't spend every night in Billings).

Not getting used on reserve may reduce your deduction to the point where it's not worth it. Hard to say w/o specifics.

I just did it manually using VIPS per diem monthly recap. Rates are updated with government (CDG was $203 over the summer in 08). Took about 15 minutes and free. Total deduction for me, flying about 50/50 intl/domestic came to over $4000.

I also used prodiem.com and it was very simple and saved a bundle. You can do it yourself, but ProDiem has a section customized for Fedex, they had the "total" additional deduction within 36 hours of my submission.

One other plug.

Prodiem also beat my manual calculations by almost $1000 and I'm pretty particular about figuring that stuff. They wouldn't tell me how but it was worth the $50 to be able to use their IRS approved method and numbers to get a bigger deduction (not to mention the time saving).

What he said.

Why pay for something that took me 30 minutes, you just need a pencil and calculator. FedEx provides all the info you need.

I've never tried to do it myself. If I look at the perdiem recap for a given month, what do I do?

Thanks in advance.....
