FedEx 727 hotel standby
The SIG notes said that the ATL, CVG and SMF hotel standbys should be available for open time. They were all in open time over the weekend, but I just checked and none are in there. The add/drop hasn't started so I was wondering what happened to them. Doesn't affect my schedule, just curious.

Didn't add up the total CHs, but maybe there was going be so much open time left after secondary assignments they didn't want the obvious staring us in the face. The obvious being there is more than enough CHs out there for everyone to have at least 68. Just a guess, but I'm sure someone out there is busy with a calculator as I type.

Thanks for the info.
Seeing as I had some extra time on my hand, I wanted to see if my theory was even close to being true. So here is what I came up with in the SO seat.
Total CH now in Open time is roughly 1450
Total CH for the suddenly missing X pairings courtesy of Gunter is 492
Which gives us a grand total of 1942 CH that should be going to secondary line holders.
If the company attempted to completely distribute those hours among the 21secondary line holders, then each would have almost 93 CHs.
If the company stuck with the average SO BLG of approximately 60CH then that would leave 682 CHs in open time after the assignment window closed. Which by the way is enough increase the BLG of all 124 published lines by 5.5CHs.
If nothing else, these are interesting numbers. And To be fair, I've never ran an airline before, but I'm guessing that you don't normally plan on reserve pilots covering trips such as these left in open time during the monthly line building process but rather for the other X-pairings that pop up unexpectedly.
I'm sure you guys will let me know if I made a mistake in math and/or logic.

Your figures for open time right now would be off by the amount that is going to be picked up due to Phase-In-Conflicts and training conflicts, prior to the Secondaries being built.
Hard to say how much that would be. Probably not as much in the 727 as the BUS and the MD11, as those aircraft still have some major carryover lines and longer trips in general. But, it may still be a substantial amount with training conflicts.
