Xray machines to EXIT the airport, xray machine and real police to enter the layover hotel(UPS/FDX) and can I mention the 200km airspace restriction and heavy air traffic? The Expo is very easy to reach via the subway line 7. There are at least two or three stops that will take you to an entrance. Yaohua Rd South will take you to the main entrance. If you exit the subway at Houlan South a free bus line will transport you to the South entrance.

There is free transportaion via green vehicles to many exhibits. Long lines unless you arrive early. Wear your walking shoes. Expect 20 to 40 minute ques at the most popular exhibits. Entrance fee is 160RMB and 100RMB for those over 60. Key seems to be visit the Expo several times to enjoy the exhibits. Be sure to grab the free official maps once inside. Worth at least one or two trips. Be patient with the security, worse than the TSA!!
