How has this been working out since recent implementation ? Are they sitting there taking notes or what ? Does the crew get any kind of briefing how the program is carried out ?

This is definitely something that should not be talked about on this BB. If you are curious about how this is going, call the union and find out. This is not the place for this discussion!

There isn't anything secret about the questions that he asked.

So should I keep this thread open or closed? ;)

Is working for FedEx really so Kafkaesque? hee hee.

There is a new publication from safety on PFC. The LOSA is voluntary. Observers take may take notes but everything is de-identified. This is a good program. It is peer driven and it's a major step that we got management to allow it to take place. Talk with guys from other airlines about it.

Watson, the game is afoot!

Open, until the case is solved! My guess: LOSA means Loss Of Situational Awareness. This is always bad. ;)

LOSA is a very good program that has been in use out here for a few of years now and great recommendations have resulted from its use, it is not a "witch hunt" in any way and I would suggest that you embrace it, nothing will come of it but a stronger CRM culture

It's a great tool! Cockpit should not be threaten by it! The main goal is to reduce the treats on the line. Unsafe airports (Toncontin etc...) SOP's, CRM, mostly it main purpose is to lower the insurance premiums. The hold cycle takes around 3 years to complete.

If you guys want additional info PM me.

Cheers
