You couldn't.

For on-demand freight shops, the instance you described above, is basically an AVERAGE day in the life.

I think the USA Jet guys should call ALPA and get the ball rolling. Currently they have work rules that are unreasonable and lacking common sense. It's places like USA Jet that unions exist in the first place.

Dont think any union cares about small companies in the "on- demand" sector.

i lived that life in the DC3 and Convair, it is extremely hard,I think I was fatigued for a decade.

They care. It is a right in this country to be unionized.

USA jet

How is the company doing now? What are the schedules like? I am a regional FO looking to make a change.
Thanks

i know they just raised there pay significantly on the -9

pretty much not commutable.. though some do. 30 minute call out in YIP.

I know a guy in management training there...I will email you his name if you want... and you can call the company and contact him... he would love to talk to a prospective hire.

Are they hiring into the DC-9 now?

There are no schedules at USA jet just days off or on. all the flying is on demand 30 min from phone ring to airport type deal. I can't stress that enough. You literally have no idea an hr before you rotate that you were even going to fly. So being up all day called at night for a trip that's pretty normal. You learn to take naps all day and deal with it or you leave. Days off vary from all 13 in a row to blocks of three or four throughout the month. you bid what you want and get what what you get. There's vacation health insurance and 401 k. a new fo on the dc9 will probably do low 50s without trying after our raise. Upgrade is anyone's guess. could be 3 yrs could be never that depends a lot on the direction the company goes in the future. They currently dont have a plan as far as I know.

ALPA and Teamsters don't care about small 135/121 ops.
Not enough revenue in it for the representation.
