UPS Furlough Temporarily Suspended
Just like I said, the furlough is suspended. Also, a highly placed source told me it probably will not be reinstituted.

No restatement. It really is true. The official reason is to honor the families of the fallen. I agree with the reason, but it is my opinion in will never be reinstated.

That's great to hear, I just hope it's suspended permanently and that everyone gets recalled soon. It's been a tough year for many of the UPS pilots, I hope it will get better from here out.

No offense, but until it is published from official sources, your post doesn't mean squat.

UPS to suspend furlough
From: Bob Lekites
UPS Airlines President
As a result of the recent accident in Dubai, UPS has decided that it is in everyone’s best interests to temporarily suspend pilot furloughs.
Our focus at this time is on the well-being of our employees and their families, particularly the Lampe and Bell families, as we support the ongoing accident investigation.

That's truly great news AND it must be the first time since UPS was founded in 1907 that they actually gave a damn about "the well-being of our employees and their families."

My F/O overheard one of the future IPA members saying that to perhaps another future IPA member on a cell in ANC OPS, but we passed it off as the delay in 25 as of this last Sunday (he's not the brightest bulb).
If so, far out. It has been rumored that UPS has been looking for a face saving way of getting out of this moronic move. If they're going to go that far, then recall everyone else and get it over with so we can all get back to work.
This whole furlough move would make a great case study for someone's thesis on dog's breakfast management.

This is perhaps the most offensive thing I have ever read. Think about the party line you're being fed. Really think about what you have said.
To dishonor two dead men with such drivel is truly the most classless thing you managers have EVER been able to conceive.
