I still believe in giving a fellow airman the benefit of the doubt, at least until there's a conviction or a plea of "Guilty." However, the U.S Attorney has, in his indictment, accused this individual of some pretty specific acts. If those accusations hold up in court, he could be looking at a couple years behind bars. If it turns out that they're largely baseless, this individual won't need UPS's money, he'll have a ton of the Government's to see him through until retirement.

I don't think any of us knows what compels some people to do the things they do. Try to remember that regardless of what this man stands accused of, he is still somebody's son, brother, husband and father, and try to keep both he and his family in your thoughts this holiday season.

Jeffrey Dahmer was some one's son also. Should he be in my thoughts?

Sometimes it is best to turn the other cheek, but here it looks like you need to punch him in the face.

If you believe that the crime of trying to arrange consensual sex with a teen-age girl is comparable in any way to the kidnapping, forcible rape, torture, killing and cannibalism of 17 young men, then yes, Jeffrey Dahmer should be in your thoughts also.

You will certainly be in mine.

Sex between a grown man and a 14 year old girl cannot be consensual. It is rape. Even in Kentucky.
