Seinfeld,
Bull****, do you even read stuff before you announce it, the second yr. fo widebody at fdx is 104k guarantee currently, our ta will bring us to 95k the second yr. climbing to 145k for a second yr. fo in 2012. we will almost reach them in this ta immediately and our rate doesn't exclude 1000 of our narrowbody pilots. Before you start spouting your bull**** do a little research.

I think this announcement will cause the UPS TA to be voted down. I know it has changed my vote from yes to no.

Anybody know what the rate and average yearly income is (or perhaps more importantly, what it will be if this TA pases) for a 6 year widebody FO?

Default rates

Seinfeld..

Is it 25k or 51k...do you even know the difference? Initial top rate should be 217/hr versus 221/hr at ups. And the siging bonus, from what I hear, is significantly less.

YMMV

OK, children, let's all stay calm. It's all speculation until it comes out on paper or from the MEC/Company. Until then keep your weapons in your holsters and don't go off half-cocked.

If you're only looking at money and the two TAs are close, I don't think it is wise to vote ours down. The time power of money could cost us in the long run. In any case, you don't spend hourly rates, you spend W-2s. What about rigs, scope, healthcare, etc? Let's see the rest of the deal before you get your panties in a wad.

Default Fdx Ta Pay Rate

From what I heard, and of course it's not in print, is that we would all get a 9% raise across the board. The thing to remember is what we proposed in OCT05 as our last table offer. By now, had that been agreed upon, we would be in DOS+1 and that would put an 11YR W/B Capt at $222.83. I would hope that we would not settle for less than that....

If it's true about our "9%" raise, then the new payrate for an 11YR W/B Capt would be $215.82 ($198 x 1.09).

So, even though the company dragged this out an extra year, we basically are agreeing to LESS $$ than our OCT05 proposal.

Couple that with a purported FIXED $98million for back/retro pay (not a penny more), we could have the ingredients for serious consternation amongst the ranks.

Our contract became amendable in June of 06. I believe it was much earlier for UPS. This could account for a smaller signing bonus
