FedEx has a TA!

From what I heard, and of course it's not in print, is that we would all get a 9% raise across the board. The thing to remember is what we proposed in OCT05 as our last table offer. By now, had that been agreed upon, we would be in DOS+1 and that would put an 11YR W/B Capt at $222.83. I would hope that we would not settle for less than that....
If it's true about our "9%" raise, then the new payrate for an 11YR W/B Capt would be $215.82 ($198 x 1.09).
So, even though the company dragged this out an extra year, we basically are agreeing to LESS $$ than our OCT05 proposal.
Couple that with a purported FIXED $98million for back/retro pay (not a penny more), we could have the ingredients for serious consternation amongst the ranks.

This TA will be their closest guess as to what it will take to get 51% of the pilot force to vote yes, and not a penny more.

This T/A will be their closest guess as to what will do the greatest good for the largest group of FDX pilots and possibly more.

The one thing that we must all consider, and I hope ALPA will have been able to articulate it, is the true economic gain that this TA will provide for us and our families. The 9% raise might prove to be much more with improved trip/duty rigs. I do have faith in Capt. Chimenti and his team, so if they are in support of this it may be time for us to truly allow "the negotiating committee to speak for me".

, just talked to a buddy, and a committee chair, that jumpseated into MEM with an MEC member this morning, here is what he learned:"7 percent signing bonus..based upon 938 x 2.5 or so years, 9 percent increase at signing, 3, 3, 3, 1 percent bump in b plan, and something in the a plan, agency shop, much better scope, 1 to 3.75 trip rig, MUCH better retiree health, better insurance, some better scheduling and fatigue stuff,"
Everything in quotes are his words. I have no other details.
He expects the MEC to talk via conf call this week, then meet around Labor Day. We should have something to touch, feel and read with in 10 days!
That is all he learned and that is all he conveyed to me! As I stated earlier though - rumor! Until its painted purple...

They give you a check worth lots of money.

Using MD11Fr8Dog's example, everyone would be paid based on 938 Credit hours per year for 2½ years times 7%. The only question he leaves unanswered is of what pay rate. One guess is highest seat position held in that 2½ years.
