Default FDX Deadheading

I was curious as to how much deadheading Fedex crews do and if one lives in the Northeast, is it possible to pick up trips out of Newark or other major airports? If so, what type of seniority is necessary to do something like that?
Thanks

There's plently of front end, back end and double DH trips at FDX. If you can get them is another thing. Senority is key. A large portion of the crew force commutes so any DH trip (especially double DH) will go relatively senior in the seat.

No, not as long as I can around the agents at DFW and speak to the capt. What problems have you had?

Just had another FedEx guy tell me that he tried to J/S from LAX to NRT and they told him they had cancelled the reciprocal with us. I told him to call the Jumpseat folks at the Union.
Hey Drew, good one. Now take that Geritol pill and go take another nap.....

Default Back on the Original Subject....

I am in LAX and about half of our trips seem to start and end with deadheads. I am fairly senior and I know I bid them as I commute. They, the deadheads, work best for me. I very seldom transit LAX and never have to go to MEM, thank God.
