Angry fdx ta has no min pay per day provision...

this fdx ta may have a harder time passing than i had first thought...one of the reasons we work 2.6 days more a month than before the last contract is because we gave away min pay per day provisions...we were assured that we would get these back...ie...work done equals work payed for...i cannot find anywhere in the proposed ta that does away with trip-rig washout...i just flew an around the world trip that should have payed 83 hours instead of the trip rig of 72 tafb...we flew only one leg under six hours...but trip rig washed all of our hard time out as it does in almost all of the cases now...we were told that this was going to be one of the cornerstones of this ta...no more trip rig wahout...but i believe we caved in on this requirement as i don't see any changes ..you still have to fly over ten hours straight to get any credit for your hard time...and that is not credit for over six hours...just over ten...we caved and if this is the real case,,,then we lost a tremendous work rule battle and i can't vote for this ta without a provision that prevents trip rig wahout...i talked to a couple of airbus guys about this and they said the same thing....it effects us all..i hope i am wrong...anyone see this?..smper fi, clutch

We don't have that.

We have intl overide.......

What the previous poster was saying , is that when we fly a 13 hour Block, that 13 hour leg gets Washed out with trip rig.

Current Contract gives us pay actual Block pay above 10 hours.......I.e. if the leg is 13 hours, we get a 3 hour pay adjustment over the Trip Rig value................Which means we get 6hrs trip rig plus 3 hour adjustment (13-10). We get 9 hours credit for a 13 hour leg.

If I am correctly reading this TA........the adjustment time got reduced to anything over 8 hours vice the former 10. That is a plus but we didn't get needed protective duty limits and language. The Fear is the Optimizer will simply Eat any improvements up!!

Default osc?

...i saw that in the last of the section...i am not sure what this is really saying?....can you shine any light on this/....is this saying one gets paid if the scheduled block for the total trip is exceeded?...or is this saying any block flown in excess of trip rig for a duty period is paid....that is not stated in def of trip pay...trip pay is still trip rig plus any block hours in excess of ten...not six..(which is trip rig)...it used to be....rither trip rig or block hours in excess of six in any duty period...hence min pay per day/duty period...

Default ...8 hours....

redeye....where did you find the 8 hours reduction...it seemops to me that would have been in the def of total blg.....being trip rig plus anything over in excess of 8 hours?...not ten as i think still exists...

Look in the definitions of Actual Credit Hours. Bullet 6b talks about block hours over 8.

That is correct..........when the 1-3;75 rig kicks in...........In other words it really doesn't change too much, plus it gives the company 18 months to tweak the optimzer and change system form.
