Seems like ACC only interviews people that are recomanded by their company pilots. So if you don't know an ACC pilot dreaming about ACC might just be a big waste of time.

Howdy Cactus,

I used to fly the Shorts 330 and 360. My instructor would also tell me that flying the 360 was like kissing a fat chick, and flying the 330 was like making out with her ugly, Aunt Wilma.

I miss those days....Happy New Year to all.

When it comes to real women I'd avoid the one I'm not interested in, but when it comes to flying at least for now I'd kiss anything that got two turbine engines on it.

I have heard this several times, but believe it or not, I interviewed successfully with them without knowing anyone there. Times were about 620 TT, 250 multi, 200 turbine, or something like that. Looks like a great place to work, good luck!

Right now they have a list of recommended pilots to get through, but once they get through that list they might start calling others. For a while recommended applicants had a bad run of not getting hired so they might get through the list quickly. I don't even know if they are doing interviews right now.

I didn't have a recommendation when I was called for a interview in 2005.

Dreaming about flying the shorts is funny.....Good Luck to all aspiring Shorts drivers.

Thats sounds good sir. Thanks for a little hope. I talked to the direcotr of training few weeks ago. Very nice guy. Every one I talked to there seemed pritty nice. I actually wasn't able to send them my resume, cause by the time I found ACC they already stopped taking new resume.

Crappy thing is if I don't get to interview with them by next month I might not even try cause I have a work permit that starts next month and I dubt they will hire me even if I do good in the interview when I have less them a year time left on my work permit. Thats why I talked to Mr. McCauley and offer to pay for my own rating, but according to him the only thing that might get me in is a recomandation.
