Cool FDX....approx training dates

I'm trying to make the best decision regarding what seat to bid and unfortunately doing so with inadequate information. Does anyone know how many guys they can pump through Airbus training? I'm looking at that vs. the MD and want to make sure not to lose vacation this summer. Looking at the current training letter for the Bus they are only pumping about 5 right seaters through each month. Anyone in the Airbus training dept know if this is a maximum volume thing or just the way they are manipulating it?? Thanks in advance!

Not being a smart arse here but the only way to guarantee your vacation is to stay where you are.
If you were scheduled to go to training during your vacation you could try to swap dates with someone. If you lose the vacation due to training you can jump onto any other vacation period that is held by someone junior to you on the airplane, after you have been activated. Hope this helps.

Pick the seat you want to fly, expect to give up your summer vacation, and be happy if they delay your training until after the summer or just bid your present seat at 100%

Or, pick they plane you want to fly, and then try to trade your class date with someone later in the year.

Thanks everyone...I know all the options with training date swaps and vacation (been there, done that)....but what I don't know is how many people they can/will push through training, just figured perhaps those in the training dept may know the answer.

I called the training letter office four years ago; they gave me a pretty good guess of what class I would be in when I tolde them I would be in the top 10 fo a class date.

I realize you want your summer vacation, but being seat locked in an airplane that you don't like will probably suck worse. If it were me, I'd bid what I want to fly and worry about the class date later. You can usually trade for a later date since people want a raise earlier. Just my 2 cents...

Going to work is like vacation, just ask your family.

The only wild card is the 45 day limit for a training swap. If the letter comes out and you're within 45 days of your training date you may be unable to swap it according to the FAQS on the website. This would really suck.
