Their boat is bigger than mine, they have more cars in the garage, their house is bigger........you get the point.

I guess no matter what your pay scale is everyone wants to keep up with the Joneses.

Or da Smith's!

This UPS employee has a very simple solution to the problem some FedEx employees seem to have with Fred Smith's compensation..... LET's TRADE!!! We'll take Fred at his current compensation, and you can have Eskew at his current pay. Heck, we'll even give Fred a raise! There you go... problem solved.

I don't know about that... when enough "green" is stuffed in the pockets, even brown looks pretty good.

Whether Fred Smith is a nice guy or a real SOB is not really relevant, in my opinion. I get really irked at execs who get big compensation packages and deliver failure and then get paid even more in bonuses. Whatever Fred is paid, he delivers success and that is worth paying for. Don't have to like the guy. He keeps those cards and paychecks coming. As long as FedEx stays on the top of the industry I have no problem with big pay for Fred. Or for us!

Speaking of keeping the paychecks coming, I heard a great idea the other day. I'm sure that you all get as many offers for mortgages, credit cards and the like each day in the mail. They usually come with a return postage paid envelope. From now on, every one of these that you get (for me its about 15 per week) just close the envelope and put it in the mail box. These clowns will have to open them when they are received, and the USPS gets alot more business, which in turn may add flights on our day shift sort.
