They would bring in those guys for MD-11 training over the summer/fall and then refocus their sights to other seats as required.
It is to their benefit to train in the widebody FO seats prior to the narrowbody FO seats to minimize passover pay.
There is always a chance someone without MD-11 time would be called for an interview at anytime, but I think it will increase significantly after the ANC slots are filled.
YMMV.

It appears mgmt is currently focusing on testing/interviewing pilots with MD-11/KC-10 time in order to fill vacant MD-11 FO slots in ANC once the current bid closes (Mon, Jun 13).

DLax85, thanks for the info. Have you heard if interviews will continue to form a pool for future classes, or are they just doing interviews as people are needed to fill the next class. Like everyone else, I'm just hoping to get called for an interview. If they aren't planning on interviewing anyone without MD11 time until ANC is filled, I'll stop sitting by the phone for a while.
But, I don't see them ginning up a big pool like they did from Jan-May 2006 and then draining that pool from May 2006 to Mar 2007....rather, I see them interviewing and hiring a steady stream of about 20 per month, except during peak.
Latest word was 100-120 pilots over the remainder of this year...roughly July-Oct...pause at peak...then 20 per month starting in Jan '12.
The hiring wave is definitely coming --- but it will still be very controlled.
I think the key is to be very flexible when they do call.
Last Disclaimer - YMMV.

On the other hand, I sincerely hope that you can post here soon and prove me wrong! Good luck.

DLax ... I understand the desire to keep the guys eagerly awaiting a call as informed as possible. That said, a 727 s/o knows this information how (flex instructor/management weenie maybe)? Just your personal hunch? If that's the case, is this info any better than no info at all?
