Do the tests just include aviation related material or are the "pat your belly and rub your head" tests also given? I had heard it was all aviation related and none of the other goofy stuff. Inquiring minds...............

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but historically wasn't FedEX about a 70-80% hire ratio? Giving credence to the "it's really your job to lose" saying if you made it that far.

Also, wasn't DAL at 50-60% that interviewed getting the job offer?

If they went to Yo-nited's pre 9/11 system, they'd be shooting down about 90% the first time. For those lucky enough to get a second chance, it was around the 50% number for job offer.

I've known more than one guy I thought would get the nod at DAL for sure. It was the psych eval on day 2 that was show stopper for all of them.

For sure not a very popular person. I believe she ended up getting breast cancer during, or shortly after her departure from pilot hiring when the guy after her took over.

Oh, I liked the eventual answer! Actually, it was in the form of a question Alex : "Can you be here THIS COMING MONDAY for an opening we have in the next class?" she asked on that glorious Thursday afternoon about 10 yrs ago........

I gave up on the scantrons. Unfortunately many did not. UAL-- best thing that never happened....

what kind of Cog test is it? Is it a Folsteins, Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Wexchsler, Minesota Multi-Phasic Personality Inventory (MMPI)? Is the test administer by a pyschologist and what is the score they are looking for? Just trying to get my hands on one so I can practice.

Are they done with round one of the interviews? How many are they looking to hire in this round? With that high of a failure rate they might have to interbiew many more than expected.

Thumbs up

Back in 2005 & 2006, I believe the "hire rate" was 80-85% of those called to interview.
