True, but I give him a break on that. We all believed the IPA had the cards. If UPS started recalls soon maybe all would be back by peak.

When 11-04 in posted we should know if the trend in flying hours will generate a recall. The companies staffing model is just about right in 11-03 but 11-04 will be the key. The other problem is, the second the recall notices go out, they are going to ask for relief from the solidarity policy, which is going to be like getting 10-15% extra bodies overnight, so the amount of extra flying in 11-04 is going to have to be 5-10% over 11-03 to justify a recall.

Meanwhile, FDX issues a system bid with 310 vacancies, with a foreign domicile bid expected in the near future (ie: more vacancies).

One company is planning for the future, one is reacting to the present.
