When 11-04 in posted we should know if the trend in flying hours will generate a recall. The companies staffing model is just about right in 11-03 but 11-04 will be the key. The other problem is, the second the recall notices go out, they are going to ask for relief from the solidarity policy, which is going to be like getting 10-15% extra bodies overnight, so the amount of extra flying in 11-04 is going to have to be 5-10% over 11-03 to justify a recall.

Actually is more like one company is planning for the future and one is reacting to the past. I thought the reccession was over and wasn't Scott Davis the first ceo announcing it on cnbc last fall!!!!. It was never about the loads and money just remember our ex vp lick b..s was the one calling for the furlough and he was the same person that authorized every airplane fly in to sdf the night of xmas eve 2005 when our own meterology dep and every tv channels were predecting the mother of all blizzards to hit louisville so when managment talks about planning specially for the future pretend that you're at a comedy club and listening to the funniest blabber that very moment. Just remember at ups set your goals and standards low and you will never be disappointed.

I think that has been the plan all along.

There can be NO positive remarks regarding anything about UPS. Anything even remotely positive will be bombarded with a cascade of shrill, wild-eyed, spittle mouthed condemnations and calls for resignation of any and everyone associated with IPA.
Just think...you could be at United.
