Anyone interview after May 18/19 get a call for a December class?

Any info on Janyuary class dates?

Recieved intel yesterday that 3 out of the 4 for May 18/19 got a call for the Dec 11 class.

Anyone from the 30 May interview date get a call?

Any thoughts on how deep the pool will be emptied since the Dec 11 class has approx 29 or 30 newhires?

I got the pool letter via FedEx a few days ago. Looks like at least two guys in the interview group also made it; I don't know about the others yet, but I'm expecting good news. I interviewed on Oct. 18th and 19th.

Many posts ago, there was an accounting of where everyone stood in the pool; can anyone care to update the information, as well as give any insight to possible class schedules into Feb? Geauxfly can you help???

The way things look now the Dec 4th and 11th class dates have been filled. There may be around 6-8 May poolies and the June Poolies (4) that will probably get called up for a January class.

No intel as far as class dates or number of classes for CY07.

Please update this post with your info so we can all pass around Geauxfly's crack pipe for a hit of the poolie call crack.

FWIW....on FI, there is a report of 1 person being called from the 30 May interview group. I haven't heard anything specifically about Jan classes but the initial rumor was that the pool would be drained through June interviews by the end of Jan. The last confirmed (through posts) dates were leadsolos in Sept. The other tidbit of trivia is that some Delta furloughs were recalled and gave up their floaties which is why we are in the third week of calls for the 11 Dec class. I'd get real familiar with that word.... But then again it's only for a week or two. I know a couple thousand guys who would love to be called the caboose

Even though my last four is 0574, I am damn happy to sit caboose! Certian people will never buy beer in my presence again!

The great thing about the prospect of sitting caboose is that a FDX employee number comes along with it!

As much as I would like the class ranking to start with 0000, all I really want is that phone to ring!!!! Rank me where ever you like. As long as it comes with a FDX employee number....I really dont care.

So what is better to have for the last 4 digits of your SS#? Is 0000 or 9999 the most senior?

I heard they add the 4 digits together, is that correct? If so, I guess that means a 0999 would be more senior than a 9000 right?

no, they just go straight by the number. 9999 is higher than any other 4 number combination, if I'm not mistaken.

The word on the street is that I should have a January class date. No official phone call yet.

We already have one 9999 too many on property! Oh, you mean SSN not emp#! :rolleyes:

Calls went out through the end of May to fill the 11 Dec Class. Some May poolies were not called. Dont know why. I dont think anyone from June was called.

I guess the next round of calls sould start during the middle of December.

I got the call to update my info and pee test. No info on possible class dates for Jan. I was told it could be Feb. :eek:

Well...I DID interview and receive a "thanks, but no thanks" from another airline in the meantime. :( Errr...that's improvement...right?? :rolleyes: At least for a small sliver of time I felt like I was doing SOMETHING in the forward direction.

But, yeah, Fish, you're right. It's been a long time. I know a guy personally that waited almost TWICE that (seriously) to work through the wickets at FedEx. He just very recently finished his IOE. So, if the call comes within the next couple of months I'll count myself more blessed than I already am! In the meantime, I'm flying steady and putting bread on the table so life is good. Still....I sure hope they call soon!!!

Took nine months for my sponsor to get a M&G in Aug '05, then another nine months for the interview in May '06, now waiting for the for the Jan '07 class.. over two years for the process, turned down a SWA interview recently. I guarantee it will be worth it!

If you don't have the job yet, never turn down down an interview at a decent company.

I have the job, provided I don't pi$$ off any current FedEx captains there before probation ends ;)

I'm all about the bird in hand.. etc etc but I am fairly confident FedEx won't be cancelling any class dates soon. Besides, if I wash out of training someone else will have pity on me and take me. Yeah right. Well, I'll just study extra hard so I don't blow it.

Seriously though, I get what you're saying but I think I'll be ok on this one.

Anyone have an opinion on second time interviews? how long it takes to get one and what the chances are the second time. I interviewed jan 06, SBI got me. Praying my sponser has enough pull to get me in one more time. Thanks for any info.

Wow...that sounds like a long time between the M/G and an interview call. Is that amount of time the norm?

Not to trample anyone's hopes but if you do a M/G but FedEx has no intention of calling you anytime soon will they let you know? Basically are there guys who have done M&Gs and then never heard anything back??

M&G does not guarantee an interview.

Nothing is ever guarteneed around here.... but if you are one of the many hopefuls, be sure to keep your stuff up to date, and don't let the FE written go past 2 years. There are no 121 extensions. Some guy got a call recently- it was along the lines of "guess what? we were going to call you in for a January interview, but then saw that you FE written wasn't current. We'll call you next month."

You need to update your online profile every month or so as well.

Does anyone have any gouge on when the M&G will start again in 2007?
