Default Flight Engineer Written Changes?

Just curious how much different the changes made the test? Any insight would help a lot! Thanks!

Over the years (and careers), I've been a 727, 747 and DC-10 Engineer. I'm not familiar with what changes you are referring to? Please explain ... thanks

Well, the FAA has made some changes to the questions, as in they added a bunch of different ones. I was hoping to study the ASA/Gleim stuff but who knows if it'll help. I am thinking it did not change a ton, but enough to be noticeable. I am just looking to re-take the test since I took it a few years back.

You're best bet is to contact the folks at Sheppard Air Flight Test 4.0 Prep Software ATP, Flight Engineer, Mil Comp - FAA Airline Transport Pilot. They are always up to date on the latest changes, have fantastic gouge, and answer their phone 24 hours a day.

+1 for Sheppard. I just took the test in March and did not see a single question on the test that I hadn't already seen in their test prep. (Same results with the MCI test I just took...money well-spent) As an aside, the test seemed exactly like the one I took ten years ago. There may have been one or two different questions, but nothing to make it significantly different.

About 5 years ago the FAA quit publishing their database questions so Gleim, ASA etc could write books covering them. In the past year, the FAA has done a considerable makeover of their test questions. Bottom line: If I had a test take, I'd make sure I knew how to answer the question, not just answer memorization that use to work in the past.

I agree that Sheppard Air is a great choice for study prep. I've used them before with excellent results. Another choice is All Atp's. ATP Flight School: Airline Pilot Training & Pilot Career Development Used them for the FEX(If you live relatively close to one of their facilities). 4 hours on the computer and got a 100 (All memorization), so...that, and a buck fifty will get me a cup of coffee I guess.
