UPS Mx Manager Program

UPS Mx Manager Program
Ran across this interesting opening through UPS. Can anyone with the company shed some extra light? While in the program are you employed with UPS? What is the pay like while training? (I don't require much, I'm a current airline employee). I'm sure there is no end-of-training job guarantee, but if not accepted for management, can you flow into line or hangar Mx? Thanks for any info.

Its typical ups to bring someone inexperience and green, Give them a quick run down on how things work then make them a manager over looking the tasks that they have no feakin clue of. Let me see, Can u say an ex rj pilot giving 747 over water line checks in ANC. This place is beyond pathetic and sad.

There's an off chance someone knows something about the program, but not likely.

Back in the early 80's, Eastern ran the same type of an operation. They figured that their managers would be retiring in a few years and that they had better start breeding some new ones. Long term, it ended up not mattering, but maybe UPS is doing the same thing

If you go into management you will never ever be a line mechanic, you will not be in the union, you will sign off airplanes the line mechanics won't, thats why they have you.

same deal the management pilots get. Sell your soul and then spend the rest of your life staring in the mirror wondering why.

It's an entry level maint supervisor position. No mechanic on property wants to go into mgmt so they're hiring from outside. You have to sign some sort of contract and make a fraction of what a line mechanic makes. Heard a story about a mechanic that had a payroll problem and when he brought his pay stub to one of these sup's to fix it, the sup quit on the spot when he saw how much less he was making.
