Word on the street:
Worst pay on the MD-11 in the industry.
Worst pay per ton.
10 days off but they can move them around as they please.
1.5 hour callout 24h a day.
Terrible QOL, **** hotels, **** schedules, no duty rig. 20 hour days.
no contract. no rules. bad MTC. $65k a year for a captain of a widebody?
Probably a great place if you murdered someone or cant speak very much english.

They're getting pilots because there are a thousand of them on the street who could step into the left seat right now. Right behind those thousand are 5,000 more who would do it just to get some wide-body, International experience, and who perceive (correctly) that the worse the job, the quicker the turnover. The quicker the turnover, the faster they can make left-seat, and the quicker they make left-seat, the quicker they get their own 1,000 hrs PIC and move on to (hopefully) better jobs.
That's always been the problem with ACMI...half the people there (2/3rds if they're flying 3-man airplanes) actually benefit from high turnover.
